The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, praising his leadership in strengthening government communication and national reorientation efforts.
In a statement, the Director-General of NOA, Lanre Issa-Onilu, commended the minister’s commitment to effectively communicating government policies, programmes, and activities to Nigerians.
He described Idris as a focused and forward-thinking leader whose dedication to public service has helped reposition the information and orientation sector, providing clear direction for agencies under the ministry to better engage citizens.
Issa-Onilu noted that the minister’s emphasis on national values, civic responsibility, and patriotism has contributed to reshaping public discourse, encouraging citizens to develop a stronger sense of belonging and responsibility toward national development.
According to him, Idris has brought renewed energy to promoting unity, discipline, and collective responsibility key elements necessary for sustainable growth and stability in Nigeria.
He further highlighted improvements in government communication under the minister’s leadership, stating that greater clarity, structure, and consistency have enhanced public understanding of policies and programmes.
The NOA boss also acknowledged Idris’s commitment to truthful, timely, and responsible communication, noting that this has helped counter misinformation and strengthen public trust in government institutions.
Issa-Onilu added that the agency continues to benefit from the minister’s leadership, which has boosted its grassroots sensitisation campaigns across communities nationwide.
He reaffirmed NOA’s commitment to supporting the minister’s vision by intensifying advocacy for discipline, integrity, and active citizenship, while encouraging Nigerians to take ownership of national development.
The Director-General wished the minister continued success and prayed for long life and greater fulfilment.
