In the realm of mathematics, quadratic equations are solved using three distinct methods. Similarly, the judicial system employs a three-tiered approach to arrive at an objective verdict. This analogy draws parallels between the methods used to solve quadratic equations and the roles of the Court of Tribunal, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court.
The three methods used to solve quadratic equations are:
- Method of Expansion (Tribunal): This stage involves gathering and analyzing evidence to establish a foundation for judgment.
- Method of Expression (Appeals Court): At this level, the verdict of the tribunal is reviewed and weighed to determine its validity.
- **Method of Elimination (Supreme Court): The Supreme Court applies this method to eliminate any inconsistencies or errors, ultimately delivering a final and binding verdict.
The judicial process can be likened to solving a mathematical equation. Just as the three methods are used to solve quadratic equations, the three courts work together to ensure justice is served.
In conclusion, the Supreme Court stands as the pinnacle of judicial authority, applying the method of elimination to deliver definitive verdicts. As we navigate the complexities of the judicial system, we must remember that integrity and fairness are essential in upholding the rule of law.
“It’s more honorable to fail than to cheat.” Let us strive for excellence and integrity in all aspects of life.
Long live Nigeria!
