The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored the Ikeja-West/Omotosho 330kV transmission line after it tripped in the early hours of Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The company said the line tripped at 12:37 a.m. and was restored to service at 10:14 a.m. on the same day.
According to TCN, the restoration has enabled the resumption of bulk power supply through the transmission line to Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) and Ikeja Electric.
The outage had affected power transmission through the line, prompting disruption for the distribution companies and their customers.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, TCN management appreciated Eko and Ikeja electricity distribution companies, alongside their customers, for their patience and understanding during the period.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring efficient transmission of bulk electricity across the country.

The restoration comes as electricity consumers continue to depend on the transmission network to deliver bulk power to distribution companies for onward supply to homes, businesses and other users.
