The Federal Government has extended warm Eid-el-Adha greetings to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world, urging citizens to embrace unity, sacrifice, and compassion during the festive period.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
He described the festival as a reminder of the enduring values of faith, obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and devotion, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), noting that the season calls for reflection and renewed commitment to national unity.
The minister urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, stability, and progress in the country, while continuing to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu in delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at building a more secure and prosperous nation.

He also encouraged citizens to extend kindness to the less privileged, promote peaceful coexistence, and strengthen bonds across ethnic, religious, and political lines.
According to him, national unity and collective responsibility remain essential in overcoming current challenges and advancing the country’s development.
The statement concluded with prayers for peace, joy, and prosperity in every home, while wishing Nigerians a blessed and peaceful Eid celebration.
