Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, commended Mohammed for spearheading transformative reforms within the FRSC. He highlighted the Corps Marshal’s commitment to modernising Nigeria’s road safety framework, strengthening institutional discipline, and driving digital innovation across FRSC operations.

The ceremony drew an impressive gathering of national leaders and policymakers, including the Governors of Adamawa, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Enugu States; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (represented); the Minister of Finance; and the Comptroller-Generals of Customs, Immigration and the Nigeria Correctional Service, alongside several chief executives of federal agencies many of whom were also honoured for their contributions to public service.

In his acceptance speech, Corps Marshal Mohammed dedicated the award to all FRSC officers and marshals nationwide, describing it as a renewed call to intensify efforts toward safer roads and improved national mobility. He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to innovation, enhanced road discipline, and alignment with the Federal Government’s broader developmental goals.

This latest national recognition further elevates the FRSC’s profile as a key institution in public service delivery and underscores Mohammed’s reputation as a reform-driven leader whose initiatives continue to shape Nigeria’s road safety landscape.

Congratulations to Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, mni, on receiving the prestigious Award of Excellence in Data-Driven Road Safety Administration.
