The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced an extension of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise in Anambra State.

According to a statement signed by Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi, Director of Voter Education and Publicity, the decision followed several appeals from citizens and stakeholders seeking more time for eligible voters to collect their PVCs ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

The Commission said the collection exercise, initially scheduled to end on Sunday, 26th October 2025, will now continue from Wednesday, 29th October to Sunday, 2nd November 2025.

The extension covers voters who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the state. INEC urged all registered voters yet to collect their cards to take advantage of this opportunity by visiting the designated collection centres in the 326 Registration Areas (Wards) across Anambra State.

The Commission emphasized that PVC collection remains strictly personal, and no proxy collection will be permitted.

INEC expressed appreciation to the people of Anambra State for their patience and cooperation and encouraged all eligible voters to use the extended window to obtain their cards and prepare to participate actively in the upcoming election.
