The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has issued a firm warning to all motorists across the country: pay your fines through officially designated banks only do not offer bribes or any form of gratification to FRSC personnel.
This briefing comes as part of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and zero tolerance for corruption in its operations.
This was contained in a statement signed by Signed: Olusegun Ogungbemide, Assistant Corps Marshal Corps Public Education Officer Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abuja Email: cpeo@frsc.gov.ng
The Corps Marshal reiterated that: “It is completely against the Corps’ ethics, values, and standard operating procedures for any of our personnel to receive money or gifts while on duty. Any motorist caught attempting to bribe an officer will be arrested and prosecuted under the FRSC Establishment Act (2007).”
He emphasized that all fines are paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA) of the Federal Government. No FRSC operative is authorized to collect fines on the roadside.
