The TETFund Centre of Excellence for Biomedical, Engineering, and Agricultural Translational Studies (TCE-BEATS) at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, is set to organize a one-day professional training for members of the university community.
Scheduled to hold on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the workshop themed “New Product and Sustainable Systems Design” will take place at the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (COCES) starting at 10 a.m.
According to the organizers, the training is designed for a broad audience, including students, cooperative members, researchers, industrialists, and small business owners, with the aim of promoting innovative and sustainable product development.
Participants will explore various practical categories such as Green and Red Herbal Teas, Organic Gums, Black Soap, and Sanitizers, all of which align with sustainable practices and local resource utilization.
Facilitators for the training are experts from TCE-BEATS, who will guide attendees through hands-on sessions and discussions focused on translating research into viable products.
The event will be officially declared open by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu.
This initiative reflects a growing emphasis on practical skills development and innovation in Nigerian higher institutions, an area of increasing interest for educational consultants and media professionals engaged in reporting transformational education stories.
