British broadcaster Piers Morgan has showered praise on Gabriel Magalhães, describing the Arsenal F.C. defender as “magnificent” following the club’s narrow victory over Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. in the Premier League.
Morgan made the remark in a post on X after Arsenal secured a 1–0 win at the Falmer Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Gunners claimed all three points thanks to a first-half goal from Bukayo Saka, while Gabriel delivered a commanding defensive performance to help keep Brighton at bay.
Reacting after the match, Morgan shared a photo of the Brazilian defender and wrote:
“This guy was magnificent tonight. MAGNIFICENT! I love him so much.”
The victory further strengthened Arsenal’s position at the top of the league table, placing them seven points ahead of defending champions Manchester City F.C..
However, City still have a game in hand after playing out a 2–2 draw with Nottingham Forest F.C. at the Etihad Stadium earlier on Wednesday.
Arsenal’s win keeps their title hopes alive as the Premier League season enters a decisive phase.
