The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), in partnership with Sweden’s development finance institution Swedfund and global connectivity intelligence company Ookla, is hosting the Nigeria Digital Connectivity Investment Forum in Abuja from September 29 to 30, 2026.
The two-day forum is bringing together policymakers, investors, development partners, technology companies and other stakeholders to examine investment opportunities and strategies for expanding Nigeria’s digital connectivity infrastructure.
According to the NCC’s official event calendar, the forum is scheduled to hold in Abuja on September 29 and 30.
The gathering comes as Nigeria continues efforts to expand broadband access, strengthen digital inclusion and encourage investment in telecommunications infrastructure and the wider digital economy.
Swedfund is expected to bring a development-finance perspective to discussions around investment opportunities, while Ookla will contribute connectivity intelligence and network-performance data to discussions on Nigeria’s digital infrastructure needs.
Ookla said its representatives will participate in the forum to highlight how independent connectivity intelligence can support targeted infrastructure investment and Nigeria’s digital growth.
Discussions are expected to examine investment gaps across Nigeria’s connectivity infrastructure and explore practical approaches to expanding access to reliable and affordable digital services.
The forum will also provide an opportunity for public and private-sector stakeholders to discuss how investment, data and policy can be combined to strengthen Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and extend connectivity to more people.
