The Federal Government of Nigeria has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic explosion at the Ras Laffan Industrial Complex in the State of Qatar, which claimed the lives of 13 people and left 66 others injured.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, conveyed Nigeria’s heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Qatar, especially the families of those who lost their loved ones in the incident.
The minister also wished those injured a speedy and full recovery, describing the explosion as a tragic incident that has brought immense grief to the people of Qatar.
She reaffirmed that the thoughts and prayers of the Government and people of Nigeria are with the Government and people of Qatar during this difficult period.
The statement was signed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa.
