Cross section of graduating fellows of the Ajatek Kogi Youth in Tech (KYIT) 1.0 Igala Edition proudly displayed their newly donated tech gadgets during the graduation and induction ceremony held on Saturday, June 6, at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Auditorium, Anyigba, Kogi State.
The Atta Igala and President of the Kogi State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty Agabaidu Dr. Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II CFR, has commended growing investments in digital technology by community-based and diaspora organizations, urging governments, leaders and individuals to intensify support for youth-driven innovation and development in Nigeria.

Represented at the event by the Ejeh Dekina, His Royal Highness Dr. Usman Obaje, OON, the Atta Igala offered royal blessings to the inaugural graduating fellows of the Ajatek Kogi Youth in Tech (KYIT) 1.0 programme sponsored by the Igala Association USA.
The royal father encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace honest and productive careers in Information Technology, noting that digital innovation remains a major pathway to national transformation and global relevance.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Ajatek Multisolutions, Mr. Anthony James Aliduh, described the initiative as a strategic effort aimed at repositioning Kogi youths for global competitiveness in the technology ecosystem.

According to him, the graduates represent a new generation of positive change-makers who will redefine the image of Kogi State through innovation, creativity and digital excellence.
He further unveiled plans for the expansion of the Kogi Youth in Tech Collaborative Programme across the state, stressing that the initiative will continue to equip young people with relevant digital and artificial intelligence skills.
Also speaking, President of Igala Association USA, Teresa Edoja, congratulated the 40 beneficiaries who completed the intensive eight-week physical IT bootcamp involving participants drawn from nine local government areas in Kogi East.
She said the graduates were trained in critical digital soft skills and empowered with laptops and internet router devices to support their growth in the global technology space.
Edoja urged the fellows to become ambassadors of ethical technology and responsible Artificial Intelligence usage while contributing positively to society.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Igala Association USA, Dr. Raphael Agbali, the organisation described the programme as a collaborative effort involving Igala diaspora professionals in the United States, corporate partners including MTN, and Ajatek’s technical training and mentorship structure.
The association noted that the initiative marks the beginning of a broader vision to position Kogi State as a leading hub for digital innovation and Artificial Intelligence development in Nigeria.
