NAF to Hold 10km Walk/Jog Exercise in Abuja on Saturday
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced plans to conduct its annual 10km Walk/Jog Exercise in Abuja on Saturday, 18 October 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to promote physical fitness, well-being, and operational readiness among its personnel.
According to a statement issued by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at the NAF Headquarters, the fitness exercise will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end by 8:00 a.m., with participation expected from officers, airmen, and other personnel within the Federal Capital Territory.
The event underscores the NAF’s commitment to maintaining a healthy and combat-ready force capable of meeting national defence demands.
To ensure public safety during the exercise, the service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the event. The NAF has assured residents that normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the exercise.
Air Commodore Ejodame expressed appreciation to the residents of the Federal Capital Territory for their cooperation and understanding, noting that necessary arrangements have been made to minimise any inconvenience to motorists and commuters.
