ABUJA – The Federal Republic of Nigeria has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Republic of Chad as the country celebrates its Independence Anniversary.

The statement reads, in a goodwill message, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed warm wishes to Chad’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation, His Excellency Mahamat Saleh Annadif.
Ambassador Tuggar praised the resilience, unity, and patriotic leadership of the Chadian people, describing these qualities as the driving force behind the nation’s progress. He highlighted the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Nigeria and Chad, built on shared history, cultural ties, and mutual cooperation within the Lake Chad Basin, the West African subregion, and across Africa.
The minister reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Chad in key areas such as trade, security, education, and regional integration, under the frameworks of ECOWAS and the African Union. He commended Chad’s contributions to regional peace and stability, particularly through the Multinational Joint Task Force, and expressed optimism for the continued growth of the partnership for the prosperity of both nations.
