The President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Oghogho Gwabin Musa, has called on Nigerian women to embrace their inner strength, amplify their voices, and make courageous decisions that reshape societal narratives and dismantle longstanding barriers.
Speaking at the 2025 WODDI Inspiring Woman Summit (WIWS) held in Abuja, Mrs. Musa delivered a rousing message during the high-level gathering themed “Bold Moves, Boundless Impact.” She urged women to take ownership of their potential and become agents of generational change.
“We are not just called to dream; we are called to act,” she said. “Bold moves begin with a single step of faith. I see women of strength, wisdom, and limitless potential. Today, we celebrate not just who we are, but who we are becoming.”

Mrs. Musa described the summit as a powerful assembly of “fierce minds, courageous hearts, and unstoppable spirits,” encouraging participants to build new networks and equip themselves with the tools needed to lead and thrive.
Referencing the biblical Deborah as an example of wise and powerful leadership, she challenged attendees to return home not just inspired, but “activated—ready to own your power, amplify your voice, and leave footprints of change wherever you go.”
The event, hosted by the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI), celebrated the achievements of women across sectors, promoted mentorship and advocacy, and fostered cross-sector collaboration for social transformation.
In her goodwill message, the Special Guest of Honour, Her Excellency Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, praised the resilience and influence of women. “Your strength lies not just in resilience, but in your ability to uplift others,” she stated. “Together, we can achieve greatness.”

WODDI Founder and Chief Host, Her Excellency Zinariya Nneoma Nkechi Richard Okorocha, expressed deep appreciation to all dignitaries, guest speakers, and participants for making the summit a resounding success. She called for continued unity, saying, “Let us keep lifting one another and working towards a brighter future for all women.”
Mrs. Musa’s attendance, alongside other DEPOWA executives, highlighted the association’s steadfast commitment to empowering women, especially within the military and law enforcement communities.
The summit featured dynamic keynote addresses, interactive panel discussions, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities. Distinguished women leaders, professionals, and changemakers from across Nigeria participated, making WIWS 2025 a landmark event for advancing women’s empowerment.
The summit concluded with commemorative group photographs, capturing the collective spirit of unity, purpose, and progress that defined the event.
