The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has announced 250 fully funded scholarship opportunities for Nigerians through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program.
This was contained in a statement Signed by Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
The statement reads: “Facilitated by Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the initiative invites qualified Nigerian citizens to apply for a variety of professional training programs sponsored by the Government of India. The courses will run between April 2025 and March 2026.

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive scholarships covering tuition, training fees, and other associated costs.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be Nigerian citizens.
Hold a first degree or its equivalent.
Meet the specific eligibility requirements for the chosen course (detailed information on available courses and deadlines is accessible here).
How to Apply
- Visit www.itecgoi.in.
- Select a preferred course and click on the “Apply” icon.
- Complete the online application form.
- Print the completed form and submit it to the nearest Indian Mission via your local government office, accompanied by a recommendation letter.
Alternatively, applicants may apply through partner multilateral organisations or agencies. In such cases, select the relevant organisation during the application process and submit the printed form directly to them.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete and submit their applications before the specified deadlines
I am a alumni of ITEC after doing one of the programs at the National Institute of Entrepreneursip and Business Development (NIESBUD) in 2017. It was indeed a refreshing moment.
