Former Enyimba assistant coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, has achieved a significant milestone in his coaching career by earning the prestigious UEFA B coaching license, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
Olanrewaju, fondly known as ‘Yema,’ successfully completed the rigorous requirements for the license, including a practical coaching course held at Stellenbosch FC in South Africa. The course, which is part of UEFA’s structured coaching education pathway, equips participants with advanced skills in tactical planning, player development, and match analysis.
Expressing his excitement after receiving the certification, Olanrewaju said he felt immense joy and satisfaction for reaching this stage in his professional journey. “I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and proud to have completed my UEFA B license. My time at Stellenbosch was an enriching experience that has broadened my understanding of modern football coaching,” he said.
The UEFA B license qualifies Olanrewaju to coach at a high level in professional football and marks a major step forward as he continues to build his profile on the global coaching stage.
Olanrewaju previously served as assistant coach at Enyimba FC, one of Nigeria’s most successful clubs, where he was praised for his tactical awareness and commitment to player development. With his new qualification, he is poised to take on bigger responsibilities and contribute further to the growth of football in Africa and beyond.
