📍Abuja | Media360Impact Report
A widow, Mrs. Mercy Agbo, has called for urgent support after suffering a sudden and unexplained leg fracture that has left her unable to care for herself and her two children.
Mrs. Agbo, a native of Neke Community in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, resides in Pigba Sama Community, near Apo Mechanic Village in Abuja.

Recounting her ordeal, she said the incident occurred on March 29, 2026, at about 10 p.m., while she was about to retire for the night.
“It happened like a movie,” she said. “I stood up to stretch and suddenly my leg gave way. Before I knew what was happening, it had broken. Neighbours came out and helped me.”

She explained that she had experienced no prior pain or symptoms and had gone about her normal daily activities, including attending church earlier that day.

On the possible cause of the fracture, Mrs. Agbo said opinions have varied.
“Some people said it was spiritual, others said it could be an attack, but a medical practitioner suggested it might be linked to calcium deficiency, although no proper test has been carried out,” she added.

Before the incident, she sustained her family by frying and selling akara (bean cakes) in front of her home. However, her current condition has left her unable to work, relying entirely on the support of neighbours for food and basic needs.

The situation has also affected her children’s education, as she says she can no longer afford school fees or even daily meals.
“I don’t know how my children will continue their education,” she lamented.

Mrs. Agbo is currently receiving treatment from a traditional bone-setter engaged by concerned neighbours. She is appealing to members of the public and well-meaning Nigerians for assistance to access proper medical care and support her family.

Concerned individuals can locate her residence near ECWA Pigba Sama, close to Apo Primary School Bus Stop, after Honda Line at Apo Mechanic Village, Abuja, or reach her via phone at 08062170498.
