Leading Nigerian visual artists are set to headline a special conversation on the role of art in promoting men’s mental health awareness as part of activities marking June’s campaign for men’s mental health advocacy.
The virtual event will feature renowned visual artist Tobun Olubukola alongside Adebayo Seun, Kike Oyewale, and Uchenna Eugene, who will discuss how artistic expression can help break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges faced by men.
Organisers said the session aims to demonstrate how artists can use their creativity and influence to spark conversations, encourage emotional expression, and inspire support for individuals struggling with mental health issues.
The speakers, drawn from diverse artistic backgrounds and representing different parts of Nigeria, are expected to share their experiences on how visual art serves as a powerful medium for healing, advocacy, and social change.

According to the organisers, the event is open to artists, mental health advocates, students, creatives, and members of the public interested in understanding the intersection between art and mental well-being.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance through the Eventbrite link to secure a place at the virtual discussion.
The organisers noted that the initiative is designed to foster greater awareness of men’s mental health while encouraging society to embrace more open conversations about emotional well-being through the universal language of art.
