The Nigeria Police Force has recorded major operational successes in its ongoing fight against crime, with the arrest of 50 suspects and the recovery of high-grade weapons and other exhibits across multiple states.

This was disclosed by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placide, during a press briefing held at the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) Headquarters in Guzape, Abuja.

According to the Police, the achievements were recorded between January and April 2026, following coordinated intelligence-led operations targeting gunrunning networks, kidnapping syndicates, armed robbery gangs, and other criminal elements.

In total, operatives recovered 17 rifles of various models, 111 rounds of live ammunition, magazines, cartridges, communication devices, vehicles, and mobile phones linked to criminal activities.
