The Federal Ministry of Education Nigeria has announced the full digitisation of the authentication and evaluation process for academic credentials, marking a significant shift toward improved efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.
The new system, introduced as part of the Federal Government’s broader digital transformation agenda, enables applicants to complete the entire verification process online without the need for physical visits to the Ministry.
Under the new arrangement, individuals seeking authentication or evaluation of their academic credentials are required to register and upload all necessary documents through the Ministry’s official verification portal.
Applicants must also request their respective institutions to forward academic transcripts directly from official email addresses to the Ministry for proper verification and processing.
The Ministry stated that the transition to a fully automated platform will streamline procedures, reduce processing time, and strengthen the credibility and integrity of academic credential verification in Nigeria.
Applicants are advised to strictly adhere to the new guidelines to ensure smooth and timely processing of their applications.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by Mrs. Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry.
