The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging an influx of Fulani herdsmen into Anguwan Dobi in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, describing the claims as misleading.
In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, police operatives were immediately deployed to the affected area and nearby communities after the videos and reports surfaced online.
According to the statement, security personnel conducted assessments and investigations within the community but found no unusual gathering, suspicious movement, or individuals matching the claims being circulated on social media.

The Command assured residents that security agencies are closely monitoring developments in the area while investigations continue to fully verify the situation.
Residents were urged to remain calm and continue their lawful activities without fear, as the police reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property across the Federal Capital Territory.
The FCT Police Command also advised members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or through the emergency lines provided by the Command.
