Abuja – Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters, Emporium Magazine and Emporium Online TV, has announced the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026, scheduled to hold on June 25 in Abuja.
The event coincides with the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters and is aimed at recognising exceptional leadership, institutional excellence and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s development.
Themed “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” the lecture will examine how digital media can promote credible information, responsible journalism, public accountability and democratic governance.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, CON, FNIS, will chair the event, while the Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, will deliver the keynote lecture.
The event is expected to attract prominent government officials, media executives, policymakers, corporate leaders and other stakeholders. Dignitaries expected include the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu; the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Tony Ojukwu, SAN, OFR; and the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.
As part of the programme, individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exemplary leadership and public service will receive awards of excellence.
Among the award recipients are ACC John Attah Onoja, National Commander of the Mining Marshals, NSCDC; Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol at NIDCOM; CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service; Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry; and Comrade Grace Ike, Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council.
Other awardees include Fame Foundation for its contributions to gender advocacy and social impact, Dr. Wisdom Enang, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, Dr. Innocent Odey, Ambrose Omordion, and Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism, responsible leadership and national development.
According to him, the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters celebrates a decade of impactful journalism, public engagement and unwavering dedication to informing Nigerians.
The event will also feature the unveiling of the Special 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Emporium Magazine, highlighting the achievements of distinguished personalities and institutions contributing to national growth.
The Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 is expected to provide a platform for meaningful conversations on media credibility, leadership and democratic development while celebrating excellence across various sectors.
