📍Abuja | Media360Impact Report
A public affairs analyst, Adewole Kehinde, has defended the integrity of ACP Moses Jolugbo, following allegations published by Sahara Reporters accusing officers of the Nigeria Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of extortion.

In a strongly worded opinion, Kehinde described the report as sensational and lacking factual grounding, arguing that it unfairly attempts to tarnish the reputation of ACP Jolugbo through unverified claims linked to one of his subordinates.

He maintained that ACP Jolugbo is widely respected for his professionalism, ethical leadership, and commitment to due process, noting that his record within the Nigeria Police Force reflects accountability, fairness, and transparency.

According to the analyst, claims that internal complaint mechanisms failed are misleading, as established procedures exist within the police system for lodging and investigating petitions. He revealed that ACP Jolugbo had advised that any formal complaint be submitted to the office of the Inspector-General of Police for proper investigation, adding that no such petition has been officially received.

Kehinde further emphasized that the senior officer is known for his impartiality and disciplined approach to policing, stressing that he does not condone misconduct and has consistently upheld institutional standards.

While acknowledging the critical role of the media in promoting accountability, the analyst cautioned against the spread of unverified reports, urging adherence to accuracy, fairness, and responsible journalism.

He concluded that allegations against ACP Jolugbo should be treated with caution, insisting that the officer’s track record continues to reflect integrity, accountability, and a commitment to justice.
