📍Abuja, Nigeria
The Federal Government has launched the CLHEEAN Mobile App, a digital platform designed to strengthen citizen engagement, enhance transparency, and improve communication between Nigerians and the government.

Unveiled by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in March 2026, the app represents a significant shift in how governance is delivered placing citizens at the center of decision-making through accessible technology.

Speaking at the launch in Abuja, the Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, described the initiative as a defining moment in Nigeria’s governance journey, designed to bridge the long-standing gap between citizens and public institutions. He also stated that the initiative is a response to long-standing challenges, including limited access to information, weak feedback systems, and low citizen participation in governance.

The CLHEEAN App aims to bridge this gap by providing a one-stop platform where Nigerians can access civic information, interact with government systems, and make their voices heard in real time. He said.

At the core of the application is an AI-powered voice and chat assistant, designed to offer guidance and support in major Nigerian languages such as Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo making governance more inclusive and accessible.

Other key features include:
1 Civic Education tools to help citizens understand their rights and responsibilities
2. Feedback and Reporting channels for citizens to share concerns and ideas
3. Interactive Engagement tools such as quizzes, debates, and community forums
4. Real-time updates on government activities and national information.

Onilu noted that the platform aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly as its focus on inclusive governance, accountability, and citizen participation.

Described as more than just a digital tool, the CLHEEAN App is positioned as a movement to rebuild trust between government and the people by ensuring that citizens are not only informed but actively involved in shaping policies.

Citizens have been encouraged to download the app, engage with its features, and contribute feedback to improve its functionality.

The government emphasized that nation-building requires active participation, urging Nigerians to take advantage of the platform to express their views and contribute to national development.
