The Senegalese Football Federation has confirmed it has been formally notified of a decision by the Appeals Jury of the Confederation of African Football concerning a dispute arising from Match No. 52 of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025.

The case, referenced as DC23316, stems from a complaint lodged during the fixture between Senegal and Morocco, which has since drawn significant attention within African football circles.

In response to the ruling, Senegalese football authorities have initiated steps to challenge the decision, signaling their intent to pursue further legal and administrative review within CAF’s framework.

While details of the Appeals Jury’s verdict have not been fully disclosed, the development underscores growing tensions around officiating, compliance, and dispute resolution mechanisms in major continental tournaments.

The outcome of the appeal process is expected to have implications not only for the teams involved but also for governance standards and disciplinary procedures in African football competitions.
