Controversial social media personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has alleged that a man paid ₦96 million for eight containers of vehicles in a purported Nigeria Customs Service auction but later discovered that the containers allegedly did not exist.
According to VDM, the alleged transaction began after the victim was introduced to a person who claimed that the Nigeria Customs Service was offering containers for auction at ₦12 million each.
VDM said the man initially insisted on seeing the Customs facility before making any payment and subsequently travelled to Abuja with the people who introduced him to the deal.
He alleged that the group visited the Nigeria Customs Service headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, where they were taken to an office said to belong to an Assistant Comptroller-General.
According to VDM, an agreement was prepared and signed before the man transferred ₦96 million for eight containers.
VDM further claimed that the payment was made on July 29, 2026, into a Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) account, based on the transfer information he presented.
However, he alleged that after the payment, the containers were not delivered.
VDM also claimed that documents presented to the man indicated that each container contained four vehicles, but subsequent checks allegedly showed that the eight containers could not be located.
He further alleged that one container linked to the transaction contained tramadol, raising concerns about the possible legal implications for anyone attempting to take possession of it.
VDM said the matter had also been taken to court, while making an unverified claim concerning the judge handling the matter and her alleged relationship with the wife of the Customs official mentioned in the allegation.
He said he would not release the identities or photographs of those involved for now because the affected man is seeking to recover his money.
VDM has called on the Customs official he identified to facilitate the return of the ₦96 million, warning that he could publish further details if the matter is not resolved.
