The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has honoured four senior officers who retired after 35 years of service, celebrating their contributions to the growth and transformation of the organisation.
The retirees were Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG), Planning, Research and Statistics, DM Bagari, pcc+; DCG, ICT and Cybersecurity, A. Obianime, psc, pcc; DCG, Border Management, AR Sabo, pcc+; and Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG), Migration Directorate, AM Halliday.
The NIS held a grand valedictory session to celebrate the officers’ careers and formally bid them farewell after decades of service to the nation.
The Comptroller-General of Immigration, KN Nandap, pcc, fsmn, who was represented at the event by the DCG, Visa and Residency, FU Nwanneka, pcc, mni, PhD, commended the retirees for their leadership, dedication and contributions to the development of the Service.
Nandap expressed the appreciation of the Nigeria Immigration Service for the officers’ years of service and wished them success and fulfilment in retirement.
The valedictory session brought together top management, senior officers, family members, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the retirees and reflect on their years of service.
The event was marked by tributes and emotional moments as the Service honoured the four officers for what it described as their exemplary and selfless contributions to the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The Nigeria Immigration Service said the retirees leave behind a legacy of dedication and service as they begin a new chapter of their lives.
