
The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has appointed Ambassador Ahmed Sule as Special Assistant on Diplomacy and Foreign Relations.
This appointment is aimed at leveraging on Ambassador Sule’s wealth of experience in implementing the Honourable Minister’s foreign policy agenda.
Statement by Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Acting Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, explained that, “Ambassador Sule brings over 30 years of experience as a retired Career Diplomat, having worked in various Directorates and Divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
“His impressive resume includes serving at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York, USA; the Embassy of Nigeria, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and the High Commission of Nigeria, Ottawa, Canada. He also held the position of Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria in London, United Kingdom.”
As Principal Envoy of Nigeria to the Republic of India with concurrent accreditation to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, Ambassador Sule served meritoriously from 2021 to December 2023. His expertise and experience make him an ideal candidate to support the Honourable Minister’s foreign policy initiatives.
