Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is no longer a top transfer priority for Manchester United, with Saudi Arabian clubs now emerging as frontrunners in the race to sign the prolific striker this summer, according to transfer insider Ben Jacobs.
While earlier reports from Turkey had linked the Nigerian international—currently playing for Galatasaray—with a move to Old Trafford, fresh updates suggest otherwise.
England-based journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Manchester United have shifted focus to Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap as their main transfer target, with hopes of securing Wolves’ Matheus Cunha as their first-choice striker.
“As previously reported, Saudi Arabia is currently leading the race for Victor Osimhen, who was close to joining Al-Ahli last summer,” Jacobs stated on social media.
“Rumors from Turkey about a move to Manchester United are far from accurate. United’s priority is Liam Delap, with Matheus Cunha expected to lead their attack.”
Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, but signs increasingly point to a high-profile switch to the Saudi Pro League.
