Operation Hadin Kai Troops Arrest Two Suspected Terrorist Logistics Suppliers in Yobe
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large quantity of motorcycle spare parts allegedly destined for Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists operating around the Yunusari-Mobbar axis of Yobe State.

The Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, Maiduguri, Captain Mohammed Goni, disclosed this in the early hours of Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

According to Goni, the operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 8, following credible human intelligence on the movement of logistics supplies suspected to be intended for terrorist elements.

Acting on the intelligence, troops of 159 Battalion under Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with other security personnel, mobilised a fighting patrol and intercepted the suspected logistics consignment at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Among the items recovered were large quantities of motorcycle tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets and piston kits.

Other recovered motorcycle components included chains and sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers and fuel-related components.

The troops also recovered 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android phones, among other items.
The two suspects and the recovered items have since been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation and necessary action.

The military said the interception is part of ongoing efforts by Operation Hadin Kai to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny Boko Haram and ISWAP elements access to supplies capable of sustaining their operations.

The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist support networks across the North East Theatre.

It also urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
