Galatasaray will now want new Super Eagles star Tolu Arokodare to replace Victor Osimhen should they fail to sign him on a permanent basis, while local rivals Trabzonspor have renewed interest in the Genk striker.
Genk coach Thorsten Fink has hailed Arokodare as the best striker in Belgium this season.
He has thus far netted 20 goals and made seven assists in 36 appearances.
Galatasaray interest, according to Fotomac, comes at the same time that their local rivals Trabzonspor have also renewed their interest to sign the 24-year-old striker.
At the start of this season, Trabzonspor tabled a lucrative bid for the player.
Arokodare has a contract with Genk for two more years, but various reports out of Belgium have suggested he will make a major transfer this summer with a number of clubs in the Premier League also lurking.
