Abuja | Media360Impact Report

The FCT Police Command has dismissed recent reports circulating online alleging security threats in the Kuje Area, describing the publications as false and misleading. In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the Command clarified that the claims suggesting heightened security threats around areas such as Wowo Garage in Chibiri, Shadadi Village, Shetuko Village, Kango Village, and Passali were untrue.

According to the statement, a thorough investigation was conducted into the reports, and it was established that they were fabricated by individuals seeking to create fear and panic among residents.

The Command emphasized that while there is a visible presence of security personnel and routine patrols in the area, such measures are proactive steps aimed at ensuring public safety and should not be interpreted as indicators of any imminent threat.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has also deployed additional personnel across affected communities to prevent any possible security breach and reassure residents of their safety.

The police further urged members of the public to remain calm, vigilant, and security-conscious, while encouraging them to report any suspicious activity to the Command through its emergency lines. The Command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property across the Federal Capital Territory.
