the Labour Party, Nenadi Usman, has paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
During the visit, Usman conveyed the sympathies of the Labour Party to the grieving family, praying for strength and comfort in their time of loss. She described the late matriarch as a woman of admirable character who lived a life defined by dignity, compassion, and service.
A special prayer session was held in honour of the deceased, led by the party’s National Treasurer, Alhaji Hamisu Santuraki, where prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of her soul.
In his response, El-Rufai expressed appreciation for the visit and solidarity shown by the Labour Party delegation. He reflected on his last moments with his mother in Cairo, noting her strong faith and devotion to family until her final days.
He described her passing as a profound personal loss while expressing gratitude for a life well lived.
Earlier, Usman had also described the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai as a respected community figure and devoted mother who raised her children with strong moral values and discipline.
The Labour Party delegation included key officials such as National Organising Secretary, Arc. Chinelo Ofoche; National Youth Leader, Comrade Anslem Eragbe; Senior Special Adviser (Media) to the National Chairman, Barr. Ken Eluma Asogwa; businessman Prince Etienne Feuba-Ketcha, among others.
