Nigeria and Rwanda have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations following a high-level diplomatic meeting in Kigali.
The Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, PhD, met with his Rwandan counterpart, Ambassador Fidelis Mironko, on Thursday, February 25, 2026.
Discussions focused on deepening cooperation across key areas of mutual interest between both countries.
Although details of specific agreements were not disclosed, the meeting reflects ongoing efforts by Nigeria to strengthen diplomatic and strategic partnerships across Africa.

Nigeria and Rwanda have maintained cordial relations over the years, collaborating within continental frameworks such as the African Union and other multilateral platforms.
