As part of its humanitarian mandate to impact lives across communities, Impact23 International Support Foundation has extended welfare support to two underserved communities in the Federal Capital Territory, Gurum and Maraba Takushara, bringing relief and smiles to residents during the festive season.
The outreach, which focused on the distribution of rice, drew a large turnout of men, women, and children who gathered in appreciation of the timely intervention. For many residents, the gesture came as a lifeline amid prevailing economic challenges.

Speaking in an interview with Media360Impact, the Public Relations Officer and Personal Assistant to the CEO of Impact23 International Support Foundation, Ms. Opra Benson, said the initiative reflects the core values of the organization.
“At Impact23, we don’t just talk; we act. Our name itself speaks of action and results. This outreach is part of our commitment to ensuring that our impact is felt where it matters most among the people,” she said.

“Visiting communities like Gurum and Maraba Takushara aligns with our mission to reach out to vulnerable and often neglected populations. We believe that true impact is measured by the smiles we create and the hope we restore.”
Residents of the communities expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as rare and deeply touching.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Danladi Kunnama, could not hide his excitement as he thanked Impact23 for remembering his community.

“We are very happy today. People came all the way to put smiles on our faces during this season. This support means a lot to us, and we pray God will bless everyone involved,” he said.
The Resident Pastor of the community, Pastor Madaki Sunday, also commended the foundation, offering prayers for the organization and its leadership.

“It is not common to see people locate and identify with communities like ours that are often abandoned. This initiative has brought joy to our people. We pray that Impact23 will continue to grow and touch more lives,” he said.
Another beneficiary, Mrs. Comfort Samuel, described the rice distribution as a life-changing gesture for her family.
“My Christmas is made with this gift of rice. I am very grateful and happy today,” she said with a smile.

The outreach by Impact23 International Support Foundation underscores the growing role of non-governmental organizations in providing social support and bridging gaps in hard-to-reach communities. For the residents of Gurum and Maraba Takushara, the visit was more than charity it was a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
