ABUJA — Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027) has announced plans to mobilise five million votes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, with a grassroots campaign targeting Christian voters across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The group’s Convener and National Coordinator, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, announced the target during the dedication of its national secretariat at Ogun House, No. 74 Ralph Shodeinde Street, Central Business District, Abuja, on October 4, 2026.

Ngbako urged members to expand the organisation’s presence across states, local government areas and wards, identifying youths, market women, pastors and other grassroots groups as key constituencies in its mobilisation drive.

“Arewa Christians are for Tinubu 2027,” he declared, calling on supporters to work towards achieving the five-million-vote target ahead of the general election.

ACT-2027 Seeks Greater Christian Participation in Politics

Ngbako described ACT-2027 as the political wing of the Arewa Christians Development Association (ACDA), explaining that the organisation was established as a political platform rather than a church or religious denomination.

He said the group aimed to encourage greater participation by Christians in northern Nigeria’s political process while contributing to governance and regional development.

Speaking on the theme, “Building Arewa Through Christ-Centred Service,” the coordinator stressed the need for collective responsibility, integrity, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence among the region’s diverse religious and ethnic communities.

According to him, addressing northern Nigeria’s development challenges requires contributions from citizens and community organisations, not government action alone.

He urged members to promote public service and community development, warning against the use of religious platforms to spread hatred, deepen divisions or pursue personal political interests.

Ngbako said the group’s idea of Christ-centred service should be reflected in practical efforts to promote peace, unity and prosperity across the region.

He cited biblical passages, including Ezekiel 37, Nehemiah 2:18 and Jeremiah 29:7, to reinforce his appeal for renewed hope, collective action and development.

Why the Group Supports Tinubu’s Second Term

Explaining ACT-2027’s support for Tinubu’s re-election, Ngbako cited the administration’s economic reforms, inclusive governance and policy continuity as reasons for backing the president.

He pointed to the removal of the petrol subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market as major policy decisions, arguing that the reforms were intended to address longstanding economic challenges.

He also referenced government initiatives and appointments in education, agriculture, infrastructure and consumer financing as areas where he believes policy continuity is necessary.

Ngbako argued that programmes introduced under the current administration should be given sufficient time to deliver their intended results.

The positions reflect the group’s stated reasons for supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general election.

Group Plans Book on Tinubu’s Economic Team

As part of its advocacy efforts, ACT-2027 announced plans to unveil a book titled “Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of the Economy” in December 2026.

According to Ngbako, the publication will examine the administration’s economic management structure and profile 52 officials associated with key government institutions.

These include the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Nigeria, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Bank of Industry, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and Nigeria Customs Service.

He described the planned publication as an effort to explain the administration’s economic policies and respond to what he characterised as misinformation about the Renewed Hope agenda.

The coordinator appealed to supporters and other stakeholders to pray for the success of the book launch and assist the organisation in securing access to Tinubu to formally unveil the publication.

Grassroots Structures Planned Across Northern States

Ngbako also called on members to establish ACT-2027 structures in their respective states and strengthen the organisation’s grassroots presence before the 2027 elections.

He expressed optimism about the group’s mobilisation efforts and invoked Psalm 20:7 while dedicating the secretariat to the service of God and the development of northern Nigeria and the country.

He concluded with a call for peace, unity and prosperity across Arewa and Nigeria.

ACT-2027’s five-million-vote target represents the organisation’s stated political ambition. Whether it can translate that target into votes will depend on its ability to build support across the states and communities it hopes to reach.
