Barcelona have joined Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan in monitoring Borussia Dortmund academy midfielder Justin Ehikioya Ejodamen, according to reports emerging from Europe.
The 15-year-old midfielder, born in Germany in April 2011, currently represents Italy at youth level and is also eligible to represent Nigeria and Germany. His performances in Dortmund’s youth setup have attracted growing attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Ejodamen has progressed through Dortmund’s academy and is currently playing at youth level for the German club. Records from the German Football Association (DFB) show his involvement with Westfalen’s youth selection, while other football databases list his progression through Dortmund’s academy.
Barcelona monitoring Dortmund youngster
Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly among the clubs keeping a close watch on the teenager.
Reports indicate that Barcelona scouts have monitored Ejodamen’s performances, including his appearances for Dortmund’s youth teams and Italy’s Under-16 side.
The Catalan club, however, is not alone in tracking the midfielder.

Juventus and AC Milan have also been linked with interest, while Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly monitoring his development.
There is currently no indication of a completed transfer or a formal agreement between Ejodamen and any of the interested clubs.
Why is Ejodamen attracting attention?
Ejodamen has been described as a technically gifted, physically strong and composed box-to-box midfielder.
His playing style has also led to comparisons with former Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, although such comparisons remain assessments of his potential rather than an indication of what his professional career will become.
The teenager recently attracted further attention during the RondOm BZS Youth Trophy Cup in the Netherlands, where reports highlighted his ability to influence matches from midfield, including a goal scored from around the halfway line.
A separate youth-tournament report from Philadelphia Union also records Ejodamen providing the pass that led to Borussia Dortmund’s opening goal against Newcastle United at the 2026 Snow Bowl U-15 Showcase.
Nigeria connection
Ejodamen’s background is also likely to interest Nigerian football supporters.
Although he currently represents Italy at youth level, reports identify him as being eligible to represent Nigeria and Germany as well.
His current involvement with Italy’s youth setup does not, by itself, settle his senior international future.
For now, his development remains the immediate focus as he continues his progression through Dortmund’s academy.
What happens next?
Ejodamen’s age is an important factor in any potential international move.
FIFA’s regulations generally restrict the international transfer of players under 18, although exceptions exist under specific circumstances. The regulations therefore mean that interest from clubs does not automatically translate into an immediate transfer.
Ejodamen turns 16 on April 19, 2027, making that date significant in the context of reports about possible interest from European clubs. However, any potential move would still have to comply with applicable FIFA rules and the relevant national regulations.
For now, Borussia Dortmund remain in a strong position to continue developing the youngster, while Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan are among the clubs reportedly watching his progress.
At just 15, Ejodamen’s immediate challenge is not choosing his next club but continuing his development.
The growing interest, however, suggests that the Dortmund academy prospect could become one of the young midfielders to watch as European football’s biggest clubs continue searching for the next generation of talent.
