Troops of the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Potiskum, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested 11 suspected drug peddlers during a joint raid in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The operation was conducted at about 2:00 p.m. on October 5, 2026, following a coordinated raid on Ganda, Wudil and Degubi Bare Bari communities in Fika LGA, according to security sources.
The joint team apprehended 11 suspects and recovered suspected illicit drugs, including cannabis, Tramadol capsules, Diazepam and Exol tablets.

The suspects and the recovered substances were subsequently handed over to the NDLEA office in Potiskum for further investigation and possible legal action.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security and law-enforcement agencies to disrupt the illicit drug trade and prevent the circulation of controlled substances across communities in the North-East.
The authorities are expected to continue investigations into the suspects and the source of the recovered substances.
