Students of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Lagos, have gained firsthand insight into Special Forces operations during a study tour of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Regiment Training Centre Annex (RTCA) in Bauchi.
The visit exposed the students to the training, tactics and operational capabilities required in contemporary military and security operations.
Welcoming the delegation, the Commandant of RTCA, Squadron Leader Edeama Akpan, explained that the Centre is responsible for training and developing NAF Regiment Special Forces personnel.
He added that the Centre also provides specialised training for personnel from sister Services and other security agencies, with the aim of strengthening joint operational effectiveness.
As part of the visit, the students witnessed a simulated combat demonstration involving tactical manoeuvres, target engagement, casualty evacuation and coordinated combat operations.

The demonstration offered the students a practical understanding of the precision, teamwork, coordination and readiness required during Special Forces operations.
The study tour also highlighted the importance of realistic military training and collaboration among the armed forces and other security agencies in responding to contemporary security challenges.
The engagement provided NACOLM students with practical exposure that complemented their academic and professional training in military logistics and management.
