The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding digital opportunities, strengthening human capital and promoting inclusive digital development through partnerships with governments, the private sector, academia and development partners.

The Commission said no single institution could build Nigeria’s digital future alone, stressing the importance of collaboration among the Federal Government, state governments, businesses, academic institutions and development partners.

According to the NCC, the different stakeholders have complementary roles to play in ensuring that more Nigerians benefit from the country’s growing digital economy.

The Commission also commended the Enugu State Government for embracing the partnership and expressed its commitment to initiatives designed to expand access to digital opportunities and ensure that no community is left behind.

As part of the collaboration, the NCC Digital Industrial Park and NCC Learning Centre in Enugu are expected to provide platforms for young people to acquire relevant digital skills and for entrepreneurs to transform ideas into viable businesses.

The facilities are also expected to help local enterprises connect with opportunities beyond Enugu and Nigeria, potentially strengthening participation in the wider digital economy.

The NCC said the initiatives reflect its broader commitment to digital inclusion, skills development and the creation of opportunities that can contribute to economic growth and improved livelihoods.
