Abuja came alive with excitement and celebration as the President General and Founder of Women of Glory Foundation, Dr. Nneka Nzewi, arrived in Nigeria alongside international members from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries ahead of the organisation’s 10th anniversary celebration.
The founder and her delegation were warmly received at the airport by members of the foundation in Nigeria in a colourful atmosphere filled with flowers, cultural performances, songs and dancing.

Speaking shortly after her arrival, Dr. Nneka Nzewi described her return to Nigeria for the anniversary celebration as emotional, fulfilling and deeply inspiring.
“Coming back to Nigeria for this 10th anniversary celebration fills my heart with gratitude. As I stepped into Abuja and saw the warm reception from our members, I felt overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving to God. Ten years ago, this vision started with compassion for women and vulnerable people who needed hope, support and empowerment. Today, seeing how far God has brought us is truly humbling,” she said.
Reflecting on the journey of Women of Glory Foundation over the past decade, Dr. Nzewi noted that the organisation has transformed thousands of lives through education support, healthcare initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programmes across different countries.

“The journey has not always been easy, but it has been impactful. Over the last 10 years, we have supported over 10,000 women through health initiatives, empowered more than 1,000 women through mentorship and vocational programmes, and reached over 5,000 children with educational support. We have served communities across Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Every life touched is a testimony that our mission is working,” she stated.
She added that the foundation remains committed to restoring dignity and creating opportunities for women and vulnerable groups in society through carefully planned programmes guided by compassion and Christian values.
Speaking on the lined-up anniversary activities and how the organisation intends to achieve them within the few days of celebration, the founder expressed confidence in the dedication of members and volunteers worldwide.
“We have an incredible team of committed women and partners both in Nigeria and internationally. The success of these programmes will come through teamwork, sacrifice and a shared passion for service. We are not just celebrating an anniversary; we are celebrating lives transformed and preparing for greater impact in the years ahead,” she explained.

President of the foundation, Aisha Bello Okpara, described the anniversary celebration as a major milestone that reflects years of dedication, sacrifice and humanitarian service by members of the organisation across the world.
“Celebrating 10 years of Women of Glory Foundation is a moment of gratitude and reflection for all of us. We are proud of how far we have come and the lives we have touched over the years. This foundation has become a platform of hope for many women, children and vulnerable families. Our commitment remains strong and we will continue to expand our impact through empowerment programmes, advocacy and community support initiatives,” she said.
One her part, the vice President of the foundation, Mrs. Oge Udeozo, also expressed excitement over the milestone celebration, describing the 10-year journey of Women of Glory Foundation as impactful and inspiring.
“Women of Glory reaching 10 years is not easy. We have gone through a long journey and a long road together. Every woman out there should strive to make an impact because women are important pillars in society.
As women, we must continue to uplift and support one another. At Women of Glory Foundation, we are committed to making impact and we are looking forward to welcoming more women who are passionate about changing lives and touching communities positively. It has been an amazing journey and we look forward to even greater achievements ahead,” she said.
One of the major highlights of the anniversary celebration is the unveiling of the foundation’s 10th Anniversary Legacy Project — the construction of a permanent Shelter and Skills Acquisition Center in Abuja aimed at empowering vulnerable women and restoring hope to families in need.
Dr. Nzewi also used the opportunity to encourage women across the world never to lose hope regardless of their circumstances.

“My message to women everywhere is simple: never underestimate your strength and purpose. No matter the challenges you face, there is greatness inside you. Keep believing, keep rising and keep supporting one another. When women are empowered, communities become stronger and nations become better,” she said.
Founded on principles of faith, compassion and service, Women of Glory Foundation has spent the last decade empowering women, supporting vulnerable groups and building stronger communities through education, healthcare, advocacy and humanitarian outreach programmes.
The 10th anniversary celebration is expected to bring together members, partners, community leaders and dignitaries from different parts of the world in Abuja.
