
The Nigerian Army has commenced its 2025 Department of Training In-House Study Period, an initiative aimed at enhancing joint military operations through capacity building and structured training.
The launch event, held at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Nigerian Army Auditorium in Minna, Niger State, was presided over by Major General Aminu Chinade, who represented the TRADOC Commander, Major General Kevin Aligbe.
Speaking on the significance of the study period, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, highlighted that the program is themed: “Promoting Capacity Building through Effective Training for Joint Operations.”
According to him, the study period brings together senior military officers, resource persons, and security stakeholders to analyze contemporary security challenges and explore ways to enhance training effectiveness.

Major General Chinade emphasized the Nigerian Army’s transformation agenda, noting that a dynamic and pragmatic approach is crucial for improving operational efficiency, particularly within joint and multi-agency environments. He urged participants to engage actively in discussions and generate practical solutions to enhance professional competence and strengthen the nation’s security framework.
Expressing gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for his unwavering support, the TRADOC Commander reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to building a highly skilled and combat-ready force through continuous learning and development.
The study period will feature expert-led sessions, offering valuable insights into critical security concerns. Participants have been drawn from key military units, including Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command, 31 Artillery Brigade, and 313 Artillery Regiment.
