📍Abuja — The Nigerian Air Force has sustained its counter-terrorism operations with a successful airstrike targeting terrorist enclaves in the Mandara Mountains.
The operation, carried out on April 27, 2026, by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, focused on Guduf, a location identified as a stronghold for insurgent activities.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ehimen Ejodame, the mission was based on credible intelligence and follow-up surveillance which confirmed the presence of terrorist structures and logistics hubs in the area.
NAF air assets were deployed in a coordinated strike, successfully identifying and engaging the targets with precision.
The Air Force noted that the operation led to the destruction of several key terrorist structures and supply hubs, significantly weakening the operational capacity of the insurgents.
It added that the mission was executed in line with established rules of engagement, with measures taken to minimise civilian harm and protect the surrounding environment.
The latest strike underscores the military’s continued efforts to dismantle terrorist networks, restrict their movement, and enhance security in Nigeria’s North-East region.
