The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has strongly condemned the recent spate of attacks on Ruwi, Manguna, Daffo, Josho, and Hurti communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The violent incidents, which reportedly claimed numerous lives—many of them women and children—and left scores injured, were described by the Speaker as “senseless and barbaric.”
Lamenting the tragic loss of lives and widespread destruction of property, Abbas said the attacks represent yet another devastating blow to peace efforts in the region, calling them “one too many.”
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the Speaker urged security agencies to urgently apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators, stressing that continued impunity only encourages further violence.
He also extended his sympathies to the government and people of Plateau State, praying for the repose of the souls of the departed and divine comfort for the bereaved families.
