The Federal Government of Nigeria has congratulated the Republic of Guinea on the celebration of its Independence Anniversary.
In a message conveyed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, to his Guinean counterpart, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Abroad, Nigeria extended warm felicitations to the government and people of Guinea.
Ambassador Tuggar noted that the anniversary is not only a moment of national pride for Guinea but also a milestone of significance for the African continent, symbolising the nation’s resilience, sovereignty, and progress.
He reaffirmed Nigeria’s enduring friendship and solidarity with Guinea, stressing the long-standing ties built on shared struggles, mutual cooperation, and a collective vision for African unity and regional integration.
The Foreign Affairs Minister further pledged Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in critical areas such as trade, energy, education, security, and good governance, within the frameworks of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU).
Nigeria also commended Guinea’s continued dedication to peace, development, and regional stability, expressing optimism for deeper collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations.
This gesture underscores Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to fostering robust diplomatic relations and promoting regional solidarity across Africa.
