Abuja, Feb. 2, 2026 — In a strategic move aimed at strengthening professional infrastructure for journalists, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council has partnered with Bespoke Holdings to complete its long-awaited Ultra-Modern Congress Hall in Abuja.
The partnership was formalised during a courtesy visit by the NUJ FCT leadership to Bespoke Holdings’ management on Friday, part of the council’s ongoing efforts to enhance welfare, training, and professional development opportunities for journalists in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking during the visit, NUJ FCT Chairman Grace Ike described the Congress Hall as a key legacy project that will serve as a venue for congresses, trainings, professional engagements, and other major union activities. She added that the completion of the hall would significantly strengthen the council’s operational capacity while supporting the continuous professional growth of journalists in Abuja.
Ms. Ike also expressed gratitude to Bespoke Holdings for its willingness to collaborate, noting that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to nation-building, corporate social responsibility, and support for media as a critical pillar of democracy.
Responding, Managing Director of Bespoke Holdings, Christian Olatunji, reaffirmed the company’s readiness to assist in completing the hall, highlighting the media’s vital role in promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable development. Dr. Olatunji commended journalists for their courage in speaking truth to power and revealed that the company would assess the project site to determine specific areas of support.
The visit also opened discussions on broader collaborations, including media engagement, strategic communication, and long-term partnerships beneficial to both parties.
The NUJ delegation included Vice Chairman Yahaya Ndambabo, Secretary Comrade Jide Oyekunle, Treasurer Sandra Udeike, Auditor Rosemary Ukoko-Tega, Financial Secretary Henry Abimiku, Assistant Secretary Sharon Emephia, and members Juliet Dangiwa and Elder Alfa Jacqdeen.
Once completed, the NUJ FCT Ultra-Modern Congress Hall is expected to become a landmark facility for journalists in Abuja, symbolising unity, professionalism, and progress within Nigeria’s media landscape.
