The Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Africa has announced plans to host a major Products Sales and Exhibition in Dakar, Senegal, scheduled for February 23–27, 2026. The event, which targets expanding the reach of Nigerian goods and services across the continent, was unveiled by NIDO Africa Chairman, Professor Jude Osakwe.

Speaking on the initiative, Professor Osakwe said the five-day exhibition aims to provide a platform for Nigerian manufacturers, particularly in the Agro-Allied, Fashion, and Beauty sectors, to showcase their products, forge strategic partnerships, and connect with buyers and marketers from across Africa.

“This project directly reflects one of the core objectives for which NIDO was established,” Professor Osakwe said. “We are committed to helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria access viable markets across Africa, leveraging opportunities provided by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).”

The exhibition is expected to attract international investors, regional distributors, trade delegates, and high-level government officials, turning Dakar into a hub for Nigerian enterprise and trade during the event.

Professor Osakwe also expressed appreciation for the support of the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, noting her instrumental role in the planning and initial preparation phases.

NIDO Africa is inviting Nigerian manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders across sectors—including Manufacturing, Agro-Allied, Fashion, Beauty, and Food—to prepare for participation. Detailed registration and participation guidelines will be shared in the coming weeks.

The Dakar 2026 Exhibition represents a decisive step by the Nigerian Diaspora in Africa to enhance economic integration, raise the visibility of Nigerian products, and strengthen their competitiveness on the continental and global stage.
