The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has received official approval from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, for the appointment of three Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs) to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM).

According to the statement the newly appointed senior officers DCM Aliyu Datsama (North West), DCM Pauline Olaye (South South), and DCM Attahiru T. Hassan (North East) will fill existing leadership vacancies in their respective geopolitical zones.

This strategic move marks a significant step in strengthening the Corps’ top-level management, aligning with the administration’s commitment to professionalism and regional representation in federal appointments.
DCM Aliyu Datsama, fsi, previously served as ACM in charge of Special Duties and External Relations. A seasoned professional with a wealth of experience, he has held multiple roles including Sector and Zonal Commanding Officer across various states.
DCM Pauline Olaye, the current head of the Project Implementation Office at the FRSC National Headquarters, now becomes the most senior female officer in the Corps. Her distinguished career includes roles such as ACM, Special Duties and External Relations, and Zonal Commanding Officer for Zone RS1HQ, Kaduna.
DCM Attahiru T. Hassan, fdc, was serving as ACM in charge of the Technical Services Department. Known for his strong administrative and operational background, he has previously held key roles including Corps Provost and Sector Commander.

SGF Senator George Akume, while announcing the appointments, emphasized that the elevation of these accomplished officers reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which prioritizes merit, dedication, and service delivery. He noted that their expertise will bring new energy to the Corps’ leadership and enhance its mission to reduce road crashes and foster a culture of safe driving across the country.
Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed congratulated the newly promoted officers and lauded their performance during the selection process. He reminded them that with elevation comes greater responsibility and called on them to remain focused, dedicated, and passionate in the discharge of their duties.
He also encouraged other officers who were not promoted in the current exercise to remain committed and loyal, assuring them that their efforts will be recognized in due time.
Reaffirming his commitment to improving the welfare of FRSC personnel, the Corps Marshal urged all staff to stay motivated and continue working toward the realization of the Corps’ mandate of safer roads and secured highways.
