In a powerful demonstration of dominance and precision, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), launched two highly successful air interdiction missions on April 15, 2025, striking key terrorist hideouts in Borno State’s Sambisa region and the Southern Tumbuns.
According to a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the first strike occurred around 5:30 a.m. at Kollaram — a notorious insurgent enclave. Intelligence reports, corroborated by surveillance footage, confirmed the presence of high-value terrorist commanders within the area. Several structures, some fitted with solar panels and serving as operational hubs, were precisely targeted. The airstrike neutralized multiple fighters and crippled critical infrastructure.
Later the same day, at approximately 3:55 p.m., a second precision strike was executed in Arra, within the Sambisa forest. Earlier reconnaissance missions had detected gatherings of terrorists, with real-time visuals confirming significant enemy presence. Precision-guided munitions were deployed, resulting in the thorough destruction of the targets and severely disrupting the terrorists’ operational capabilities.
These consecutive missions form part of a broader, sustained air campaign aimed at degrading terrorist networks, dismantling leadership structures, and denying insurgents any safe haven within Nigeria.
The Nigerian Air Force reiterated its unwavering commitment to ensuring that no part of the country remains a refuge for terrorists.
